Ich schließe mich dem Kommentar an schade, dass wir nicht die Film Version sehen können. Damals sangen Spitzen Sänger wie E. Schwartzkopf und Gedda Operette!! Leider hört man heute kaum noch Wiener/Berliner Operette😢

This is a great fit for him, and the high Db and F are very impressive in different ways. But he is singing so so bright. Also, I can’t say that he isn’t singing legato, but he’s doing something that makes things sometimes rather note-by-note. I can’t quite put my finger on it. That aspect reminds me of his (effortful) Amor ti vieta. Overall, I think the live recording of this with Muti is better.
